More Than Water In A Can
Michigan Hop Water is not merely water in a can. It's a product born directly from the wilds of Northern Michigan. Our Hop Water journey begins right outside our window in Little Traverse Bay and Lake Charlevoix, two of our major water sources that directly connect us to Lake Michigan. Our Great Lakes provide us with great water, and that water is what powers our imaginations and our bodies to be able to explore and create. Remember, water makes up 60% of the human body, so with MHW we are leveling up the hydration game by making a beverage that not only feeds the body, but also feeds the senses with flavor, bubbles, & aroma.
Quality Ingredients Speak
Just down the road from us and around the Lake Michigan coastline is where we found our other crucial Michigan ingredient: Michigan Copper hops. There is a farm in Williamsburg, MI with rows upon rows of 15 feet high, astonishingly green vines reaching for the sky. Only they're not vines, they're hop bines, and growing on them are millions of delightful little hop cones full of natural flavor and aroma. The Copper hop is a Michigan-bred hop, making it one of the first native hops to the state! It bursts with fruity flavors of pomegranate while not being overwhelmingly bitter like some other hop varieties.
Finding The Balance
Through multiple (and fun!) experiments, we finally landed with a balanced, vibrant recipe that we believe reflects our beloved Northern Michigan and its great resources. We called it Michigan Hop Water because that is exactly what it is. And like it's name, it's a product with zero secrets, zero hidden ingredients, and zero artificial additives: just the perfect blend of Great Lakes water and Michigan Copper hops.
